I also see two nipples where you have the overflow hose attached, one with nothing on it. What's it for? If that thing fits the Matador really well, it will fit any AMC car made from 64 on!<snip> Hi Frank Thanks for your advice on the rust issue. I appreciate it. As for the Aerostar radiator, it took some modification of the Matador to get it to fit. I had to Sawzall the stock radiator vertical side mounting flanges off the car to fit the new radiator on. I just bent the edges back on themselves so I didn't have any sharpness exposed. Also worthy of note is that there is very little clearance between the hood and the top of the cap. I only dropped it as low as I had to to fit it under there since I didn't want the radiator sticking way out below the car. I don't recall what that second nipple is for. IIRC it is solid and doesn't vent anything. I'll look tonight. for anybody who wants to see it, the pictures are at: http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2444380620068086797dUEbiS use the forward & back buttons to see the several shots of it there. there are notes in the title for each picture. the radiator works good. it came out of a 4.0 liter Aerostar with the towing option. I also had a radiator from a 3.0 liter Aerostar which mounted the same but which had only half the radiator thickness that this one is. I'm not sure whether the difference is due to the 3.0 vs. the 4.0 or if it's due to the towing option. I looked all over the auto parts store for a top hose that I could modify to work and finally took one home to butcher up. After having done so with no good results, I looked at the Aerostar bottom hose laying there in the waste basket and I really can't say why I hadn't noticed it before but it was PERFECT! thanks again Frank.
