I did the American in a mix of Walmart/Lowes/misc spatter paints. Mixing them to get the look I wanted. They are a PIA to work with. Make darned sure you start with one color. All Black or Gray depending on the final look you need. I forget what the original base looks like. Anyway, the spatter does not cover fer, poopy... I used a crap load, thinking, "oh, one more coat,er,can,er,case". Finally got it good. Last thing to note is the store brands I have worked with are all water based and need sealed with a clear or they will come off and degrade quickly. I used a sain clear on mine and am happy with it. YMMV.... I do like spater paint though as it adds an interesting look to some otherwise screwed up stuff. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrac II " I realize that death is inevitable.
