I'd be realy careful examining the block and head around those two cylinders. Could be a crack in that rear which would explain the double failure and the left to sit thing. Guy fixed it and I filled the cylinders with coolant and he kicked that one dent in the 1/4 in and walked away from it. hmmm, that's a pretty good story actually, if I do say so myself! -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II " Chronic Pain Hurts" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: d stohler <das24rules@xxxxxxxxx> >2 pistons are a tiny bit different > than the others. a hole on either side of the pistons where the pin goes thru. > for oil i assume. 2 pistons dont have them, and those 2 rods are newer than the > others. nice and clean. look like brand new. funny thing is, those are the 2 > pistons that are corroded.... > > dave stohler > http://picasaweb.google.com/das24rules > > > > _______________________________________________ > Amc-list mailing list > Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx > http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
