The 195.6 sure did come with a YF -- the 58-61 flat head did anyway! But you're correct -- the 195.6 OHV never came with a Carter YF. The YF has a much larger venturi than the little Holley 1909 or the Carter RBS used on the OHV engines. I still have the plate I made to put a pair of flat head YFs on a 195.6 OHV. Ran fine, but was no improvement over the WCD 2V (except in "wow" factor). Sold the pair of YFs to a guy using them on a Corvair (I think....). ------------------- Date: Mon, 14 Jul 2008 09:21:57 -0700 From: Tom Jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> > > the other 1bbl amc used some years was a carter yf. it was around a > > long time; parts shouldn't be difficult. > I don't think the 195.6 was ever delivered with a Carter YF, but it might fit on there fine. It would be a fine match. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
