Pretty much so, according to the TSM. The only difference is fifth gear -- the six cylinder has a steeper OD gear than the four (0.76:1 for the six, 0.86:1 for the four). All manual trannys in the Eagle used a 2.73 axle ratio with the four, Spirits and Concords used a 3.08. You'd think the Eagle would have had the lower gear! --------------- Date: Tue, 08 Jul 2008 01:48:51 -0400 From: Brien Tourville <hh7x@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Found a 1983 Eagle 2.5 5spd trans. - are these the same internals etc. as the 6 cyl. 5spd ? -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
