In the "old" days I fixed many a starter with a new set of bushings and possibly brushes and springs. That's about all that usually goes wrong with them. Nowadays the rebuilds are so checp noone does it themselves anymore. I've got an oldtimer down the road from me that still rebuilds in his little 14X14 barn building! He has fixed $200 boat starters for me for less than $60! He gave me starter brush springs last time I needed some, told me to come back when I needed something when I asked him how much! The bushings are an easy fix, but can be harder to find then just buying a rebuilt starter! -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II " Chronic Pain Hurts" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Todd Tomason <jayscore@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Thanks guys.
