Unfortunately we do what we have to when we have to do it. I've been to a pull a part and discovered something I have wanted for a long time, but I didn't have the correct tool to remove it without destroying additional parts. I left and went home to get the tools, when I returned and walked back into the pull a part office I was dumbfounded to see a guy there with the part I wanted in his hand and me left in the cold. Will I suffer that again?? Not if I have a hammer and cold chisel or a crow bar with me. I called John's Auto Salvage and the lady told me 'the cows got out' so John wasn't near phone and is supposed to call me back. I may add that she said they looked it up in the interchange manual and it interchanges with 1980 Pacer. It may/may not but my mechanic told me best call off the deal simply because that whoever pulled out the axle probably tore up rest of unit; something I have seen thousands of times at local pick a parts where someone will rip out whole dash with crowbar only to get 25 cent bulb; or cold chisel solid sheetmetal to get one brace because they didn't have a 1/2 inch wrench to remove it. > Eddie Stakes > 713.464.8825 > eddiestakes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > www.planethoustonamx.com > email volume HEAVY reply > currently 8-19 days, just call! > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Henry Hultquist > To: BaadAssGremlins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Monday, June 30, 2008 7:01 PM > Subject: Re: [BaadAssGremlins] axle question/eagle > > > Eddie, > Try asking at http://forums.amceaglenest.com/index.php they have a whole part of their forum devoted to axles and differentials. > Onree > > > > > On Jun 30, 2008, at 12:04 PM, Eddie Stakes wrote: > > > Well I located a rear axle from John's Auto Salvage in Seguin, Texas about > 175 miles west of me for my 81 Eagle, 4cylinder, 4speed, which has been > patiently waiting for a 3:54 rear axle now for over 3 months.
