Steve, I understand your point, and it's well made (and taken). But the reason for this list is the AMC cars themselves. The general discussion on the merits of alternate fuels have their own places for discussion and should be discussed in those venues -- with experts on the subject to add to the discussion. Many of us here have opinions, and a few have facts, but I don't think anyone here is an alternate fuel expert, especially on hydrogen and fuel cell technology. Most here enjoy the old technology for what it is, and we're here to support them. That there is some relevance is why I didn't ask that the topic be closed earlier. I won't shut anyone down immediately because they bring something up that isn't strictly AMC/Rambler related. I'm also not stupid -- tacking a couple sentences about your AMC to an off-topic post won't fly! I'm not tyrannical about keeping the list on topic, but there does come a time when it needs to be reeled in -- preferably before members start c omplaining. Remember, only about 5% of members actively engage in posting most of the time, the other 95% just read and learn. Learning about alternate fuels is fascinating, but not the subject of this list. ------------- Date: 17 Jun 2008 19:25:07 -0000 From: stover@xxxxxxxxxxxx Even if the word- Rambler- isn't mentioned in the thread- I think it's a topic worth keeping going and is very relevant to Ramblers-whether one is currently contemplating converting one to an alternative fuel system or not. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
