I am NO WAY that knowledgable on that part. But the side forces on the tip of the input shaft are near zero. THe clutch fork travels in an arc, and the two fingers that live in the TO bearing groove do traverse back and forth around the input shaft centerline a WEE bit. Though that's on the sleeve on the bearing retainer, it's likely to transmit some TINY force to the input shaft, and since you're only talking about a little squealy noise, that's all that would be needed. If it is something of that sort, it's annoying but un-harmful, at least. But it's like the clicks and groans in my Hornet and Classic's suspension, it bugs the crap out of me even when I know it's harmless. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
