This is the type question that gets all kinds of opinions! If it's going on a daily driver that will be driven in cool to cold weather I'd use the Performer. If it's going to be a fair weather car only driven in the spring and summer, maybe early fall, but not in weather below 40 or so, the Air Gap might be a better choice. The Air Gap is made to keep the intake cooler for a slight performance increase. For normal driving the Performer will warm up a bit faster, and should be a bit better for economy also.
