Thanks for the response.
The one inch thick seal above the heater box to the cowl had completely
disintegrated on the Javelin
so I had no idea of the thickness. The Javelin does have a 3/32" to 1/16"
thick gasket between the
heater box/core and the thicker gasket. Does the American have this too?
I have a few pictures from the 70 Javelin. May I send them to you so you can
compare
them to your American heater box gaskets?
Or if you have photos of the American you could send them to me.
I don't have a 69 TSM so I don't have anything to compare to.
