Providing you match up the color fairly well (at least for an amateur
restoration / driver) - how do you determine what color primer works
best under your color paint? Once my car is mechanically sound, I want
to start on some of the surface rust.

I'm thinking gray primer, but am just guessing. (perhaps it's time to
take a new picture!).
