Thanks! I read the fuel pump section of the TSM, then the wiper section and was at a loss. I'll clean up the fuel pump (so I can see the In and Out) and get it right. Tom - I think you must be right. The wipers work, so the hose that was attached must be connected to the manifold. The vac side of the fuel pump is a BOOSTER pump. It won't run the wipers by itself, doesn't create enough vacuum. > > The TSM isn't a big help -- no vac tube diagram. They assumed dealer mechanics were familiar with something so common -- back then! If you can look at the pump "IN" and "OUT" are usually cast onto the body near the vacuum connections. OUT should go to the wiper motor, IN to the intake manifold. If not, put your finger over each connection. The one that sucks on your finger tip goes to the wiper motor, other one to intake manifold. I think they are 3/16" lines, but they might be 1/4". _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
