  Joe,
  There are a couple of benefits to the expensive evans coolant.
   
  1)  It is run at ZERO PRESSURE ... radiator cap is modified.  All hoses, etc. do not have pressure in them, only coolant flow.
   
  2)  Evan's coolant can be reused over and over.
   
  3)  Evan's coolant does not boil at temps that water/coolant do, so the engine runs cooler, where it counts (cylinder heads).
   
  4)  Allows use of higher-temp thermostat to take advantage of increased effeciency due to added heat.
   
  That about sums it up, from what I remember.
