OH MAN it's close!!! It pays to be a little bit nuts... So I have my T-96 OD all apart and spotlessly clean. Pulled the T-14 out of the pile, plunked it on the bench, and pulled it's tail housing off. The Borg Warner R-10 overdrive adapter from a T-96 will BOLT ONTO the T-14 case except for two little details: * The trans case rear is bored to accept the adapter (which accepts the output bearing), about 1/2" larger * The OD-reverse-lockout (shift trans into R, block OD) won't work. It would need two additional stock parts: * T-14 OD output (main) shaft & bearing. I really think that is all that's needed. I could *almost* bore the case hole larger myself with my mill-drill, but I'd rather pay someone to do that right. I didn't study the reverse-lockout thing at all, maybe it could be adapted, but worst-case, cut the end of the OD shift rod off. I'm gonna complete the rebuild of my T-96 + OD, but since I have a spare T-96 + OD (torque tube, non-Twin Stick) I may persue this as a side project. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
