I recently had an exchange with Glad -- wrote him a note about the last article on the Rambler, actually thanking them, but pointing out a couple minor details they missed. I had criticized the 360 build due to all the expensive (and I felt unnecessary) machine work, and he recalled that. I got a note back from him: "Aren't you the guy who doesn't like anything we do, I seem to recall you didn't like the 360 build." Well, not 100% exact, but close. I replied with an apology for being so critical, and offered to provide any technical/historical assistance I could. The note to Jock just made me think about that -- I suppose he's still a bit miffed with me to ask, or maybe he just figured it wasn't tech/history... I never said anything about parts! I'll stick it in the next AMC Magazine though, should go out in a week. --------------- Date: Wed, 12 Mar 2008 12:20:06 -0500 From: Jock J JocewJ Jocewicz <namdra@xxxxxxxx> Just received the following from Car Craft: Hi guys, I need to ask for a little help. CC is planning on building another AMC engine soon and I need to find some 401 parts. Is there a way I can get the word out for a couple of cranks and blocks? Douglas R.
