The car was a no-sale on e-bay a year or so ago, I forget how much he was asking for it though. With the Ford 302 it WAS a Torino. If it had the OHC six still in it (especially if it was the three sidedraft version) the car would be of much more interest. You don't mess with a collectible/rare car like that! It's still of interest, but not as much. Wonder if he'd take $2500 for it... ;> Maybe the OHC six was trashed, threw a rod or something? Then changing the engine would make some sense -- an AMC six might have been a "better" choice, but it still wouldn't be much of a Torino without the original engine. A Kasier version could have been located with a little effort, and is the same as the early Torino engine. It was 72 or 74 that IKA redesigned the block for seven mains. ---------------- Date: Sat, 8 Mar 2008 21:37:56 -0700 From: Jim Blair <carnuck@xxxxxxxxxxx> http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/car/599897202.html -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
