Re: [Amc-list] 1989 TF727 tranny - Lockup or Non ????

A: After '83 most of the trans went to non-lockup (less problematic) If you drop the valvebody or have a way you can see on top of it, there is an "S" shaped tube only on the lockup ones.

Does anyone know if the 1989 TF727 in my '89 Grand Wagoneer has a lock-up or non lock-up torque converter? Thanks for the input!
