OK, I just went out with calipers, tape measure and pad, and
measured T96's and T14.
Transmissions:
input spline input nose to flat over all length
T96+OD 10T x 1.00" approx. 7 1/8" approx. 19 3/4"
T96+OD+TT 10T x 1.00" approx. 7 1/8" approx. 20"
T14 non-OD 10T x 1.00" approx. 7 1/8" approx. 23 5/8"
T150+OD 10T x 1.055" (didn't measure) approx. 28"
Clutch disc:
8.5" disc 10T x 1.111"
9.25" disc 10T x 1.110"
Bell housings:
The T14 will NOT mate to a T96 bellhousing and vice versa. And
I have a multi-drilled pre-72 six bell, and no holes line up
with the T96.
My conclusion: The AMC clutch is apparently unique.
