I understand how you could work it with a bathroom scale, but don't think I want to do it! You can go to the nearest moving company and get the front/rear weight bias for about $30 (they usually charge $15 per weight reading). Just drive up with only the front wheels on the scale, have them weigh it, then drive over with just the rears on and have them weigh it again. Mark, you might want to call up some of the circle track racers/garages and see what they'd charge you to weigh the car. Would be interesting to know what each corner weighed instead of just front and rear bias. -------------- Date: Mon, 25 Feb 2008 18:22:02 -0800 (PST) From: Tom Jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> > I'd like to get my hands on a set of circle track scales some day in see what the weight balance ends up being on my car! You can do it with a bathroom scale and 4:1 or 5:1 lever... weld one up! I think I've seen 'em for sale in car mags. You'd have to block the car level. One front, one rear would do... though you wouldn't get to see how much lateral weight difference there is. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
