Good Morning Mark,
It's not for everyone, but if you have an unused corner of the
basement or garage, perhaps you could save a car-load of hard-to-recycle
stuff and make one worth while trip?
I did a quick search on Earth911.Org and found that the closest place
for you is in Greensburg, Pa., not worth a trip for a few bags of
stryofoam. However, that's closer than the place I take my stuff.
Since the place is so far, I make a morning of it, take my Dad along,
have breakfast, and take a whole station wagon (or truck) load at a
time. The place I found, Recycling Services, Inc. in Pottstown, Pa.
takes just about everything. The place is 72 miles from home and takes
me an 1-1/2 hours to get there, so pretty much all morning for a round
trip, but I get to spend that time with my Dad, BS, and eat a nice
breakfast.
Regards,
Russ (from Pa.)
