You don't have trash pickup?  If you're out in the
country without trash pickup just burn it.  Don't
bother with the solvents.

We get a lot of it at work and that and polyehtyelene
foam are the only things we have to throw in the
trash.  We can recycle just about all other plastics. 
Unless you are in a big metro area there is no way to
get styrofoam recycled.  Even in Los Angeles,
recycling styrofoam in only just now catching on.  You
have to reduce the volume (with a special compactor)
to make it economical to haul.  There aren't many of
those compactors around yet.
