I actually owned an R5, LeCar (or, what we came to call "LeSh%#Box).  It was
fun to
drive and mechanically actually OK, except for the CV joints that
disintegrated
in the first 10,000 miles.

However, the body was another matter!  In Massachusetts, it rusted in places
where other cars don't have places.  And, the sheet metal seemed so thin
that a strong look could penetrate it.
