One other item to look for is extreme wear on the backing plates where the shoes rub (three places each shoe). Slight grooves won't really hurt, but on some cars they get deep enough that the shoes catch in them, and worse, don't lay flat, and square to the drum, and drag, go 'crunch' and wear out quickly. THe fix is easy if you have a welder; just weld up the grooves and grind flat. An angle grinder works with the plates still on the car. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
