The 3.7 is a baby 4.7L built by Dodge, or whatever they call theirselves now? I doubt it would fit. I agree completely, Unless I was building a major streat machine and doing some wickedness. I would not bother trying to "upgrade" the American at all. Pistons can be had for the 196 and other parts are still available.
