I've heard the repros don't have th elarge bottom lip, but I'm not sure. I bedded my 69's trim in Black Marine grade 3M silicone with no clips. It does not leak. I wanted to not fool with the clips due to seeing them scratch and gouge the paint in this impossible to see area and cause rust. My only fear is that I will never get the trim out and I would like to someday install a nice new windshield! -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II " Chronic Pain Hurts" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Mike Kindle <mike90066@xxxxxxxxxxx> > > >>The strip should be embedded in the > center of the gasket, with about 1/4" > of gasket showing on each side.
