The upper hose I used is a Lincoln Town car I think from a 1991. It fits like it grew there, the bottom I cut from an existing hose I had laying around. In the Woodward cruise my amx with it's Blackstone would normally heat up over a half hour of idling until I'd have to pull over and let it cool down. With the PRD rad it stayed rock steady at 195 and I was able to enjoy the cruise without stress for the first time in 10 years. After the flame war that started I've had no desire to talk about rads or any other thing too much. I'm really happy with mine, If I were to do it over I'd ask them to incorporate a petcock. I'll see if I can verify the year hose I used, it fits unbelievably well. ~J -----Original Message----- From: amc-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:amc-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Armand Eshleman Sent: Tuesday, October 30, 2007 9:44 AM To: AMC/Rambler owners, drivers and fans. Subject: Re: [Amc-list] PRD aluminum radiator My Javelin/AMX fitting PRD aluminum radiaor is still in the box. Haven't got the heart to install it because of the lack of what I see as full cooling potential, needs other than factory hoses and no drain cock. Not that it won't function correctly as a radiator, it probably will. Has anyone else who bought one of these actually put it in their car?? How does it work?? I think it was mentioned that this thing is a meant for "racing" radiator, did you owners of one try it on the street??
