Downshifting is definitely not a lost art.......... Both of my sons learned to drive manual transmission equipped cars when they were 9 yrs. old. When old enough to own their own car, actually their second car...both chose 5 speed manuals. Ask either one of them to do a downshift, and they will routinely rev the engine to match the rpm and then re-engage the clutch, with a very sweet throttle back off rev down sound coming from the engine. I always know when my sons are almost home............. ahhh lifes simple pleasures........ Armand AMC content, I ordered a dash crash pad from Kennedy American today for my 70 Javelin. Mr. Kennedy told me that they had sold probably 300 of them this past summer. That's good news. A lot of people are working on their Javelins... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sandwich Maker" <adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, October 16, 2007 10:03 AM Subject: Re: [Amc-list] clutch questions > " From: Frank Swygert <farna@xxxxxxx> > " > " All splines on the small BW trannys are the same IIRC -- even the > " M-35 yoke will fit a T-96...
