Can I ask a question, well, silly me of course I can ask! Does the instructions detail where to put the bung in the headpipe? And how to properly orient it? I'm just asking, because years ago I saw a tech article on O2 sensors hat said to always orient the O2 so that the bung is at a minimum Vertical, placeing the O2 on its side. Best is to have the O2 pointing straight down with the bung horizontal. The reason they gave being that if the O2 points up condensation can lay on the sensor and cook off leaving deposits and eventually faulty readings and or failure. Time and time again I see magazine articles installing the bungs in the bottom of the pipe and pointing the O2 straight up, in the worst postion. I can only assume that either the article I read is incorrect or the magazines are doing what comes easiest to get the job done. I took the time to install my bung when I was doing the efi swap and it points the O2 sensor straight down. I put it in the actual collector area where the front and rear sections join, letting it read all 6 six cylinders. I kind of wonder what the wideband companies have to say about mounting. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 " I was different before people dared to be different" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: JOE FULTON <piper_pa20@xxxxxxxxxxx> > The Blue Angels are in Salinas this weekend for the > airshow last night through Sunday.
