I mentioned this before. When I added efi to the American I did total runs of copper 10 gauge ground. I no longer get any flickering lights etc; I used existing ground leads in the Jeep Wrangler harness to tie the PDC, engine block and grounding point on the firewall all together. I also installed relays for the headlights to take the load off the switch. All of these tricks cost next to nothing and make a big difference in elctrical performance on an old car! My battery is trunk mounted with full run cables for ground and positive to the engine block, compared to cheapy kits that only run a ground to the trunk floor and rely on the chassis to provide ground to the front of the car. That reminds me, I never did run the small ground to the trunk floor I intended to for the taillights... -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 " I was different before people dared to be different" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "Jim Blair" <carnuck@xxxxxxxxxxx> > > I ALWAYS add another one, besides the stock one, from the battery negative > to the body. > > As someone (possibly my aircraft technical systems instructor) said "In > Electrics, power is fleeting, but grounds are permanent!" > > > Jim Blair, Kirkland, WA '87 Comanche, '83 Jeep J10, '84 Jeep J10, '73 J4000 > (RIP)<br> > > > From: "Jamie Smith" <oconner51@xxxxxxxxxxx> > Subject: Re: [Amc-list] Help!
