" Hi Folks,
"
" I am in the process of converting my 66 american from a 199/T-96 to a 199/BW
" automatic from a 68 american. I am swapping the entire drive train (engine,
" trans., driveshaft and rear axle) I have the column from a '65 American
" auto. I am not sure how to hook up the back-up light switch. There is a
" wire on the trans. (what is that for?). Other than the back-up light switch
" any other tips on this swap would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance
" for the help!
you shouldn't have to change the driveshaft; afaik it's the same
length and spline as the t96 one. i'd also look for a '67-9 saginaw
column to preserve the safety collapsible feature and make your swap a
little easier.
