[Amc-list] My car had a reputation.

My Gremlin is at the smog test station and has been
there for two days.  Not good.  I'll report on the
oncome later.

But today when I went to check on the car the lead guy
said several people had been asking about my Gremlin,
many of them not knowing what it was.  We started
talking about AMCs and I mentioned that I had a couple
of Javelins.  He said he had heard that there was a
beautiful Javelin (his words) over there a few blocks
(pointing in the direction of my house).  I said it
was probably mine and that I sold it last weekend and
it was on it's way to Texas.

He went on to talk about a friend of his in the early
70s that had a four speed Javelin that was so fast. 
Those things were race cars, you know.
