Tom, I am not sure what part of the country you live in but I would strongly suggest thet you seek another opinion on your shoulder, specfically someone associated with sports medicine. If Tommy John can come back from a seemingly career ending injury and win the Cye Young award who know what other options may be available to you. At the very least, you will get the satisfaction of knowing that your doctor was right on target. At best, you may find a sports medicine doctor that is used to unusual shoulder damange and has a better understanding of how to resolve your particular issue. Surgeons are like autobody shops. No two opinions are the same. I would think you would want to here at least a second opinion, and possibly a third, before accepting limited physical ability as the end result.
