It's a good day when you get to get to those sorts of problems! Getting
rid of noises is good! Too bad on the stupid speedo.

I've done the same stupid thing my my Rambler's battery... only it was
one of those green-knobbed quick-disconnects. Those things suck after a
few years!

I have a bunch of solid-brass marine cables on my old wagon, they're
great. 00 gauge, crimped and soldered ends, and bolted to brass
fittings. They'll last forever!
