State Farm had a good policy last time I used it. They didn't have any usage restrictions, they said I coul drive it when I wanted to no mileage restrictions. While they were a bit harder to get coverage from. They gave me short term temp policy and I drove it down to the agent. He took s full series of pictures for their file, recorded mileage etc. At the time we had all our vehicles there. Later we moved our DD's to a Policy thru the Lutheran church underwritten by AIG. I've called them yearly and they won't/don't write classic cars. The will write a policy, but full coverage would be unavailable. If I had not seen American Moderns web site I would not have any problem with the insurance I have now. I have read and reread the policy I have, all mileage and usage restrictions have been waived from my policy. Likewise even the restrictions for experience of the operator is not mentioned at all. The policy flat out states that, My wife, I and all family members are covered! My wife even went went over it and found nothing to be concered about. The policy in no way shape or form follows the rules of the website, nor does it refer to it.... -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 " I was different before people dared to be different" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Steve Cornelius <steve.c@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA256 > > John Elle wrote: > > The first place I would look for collector car insurance is with your > > present insurance company that also insures your daily driver or regular > > cars. > > They may have the best all around policy for you. > > > Hmmm, that's interesting.
