even a t5 wouldn't fare well.  the strongest factory ones - the ford
svt '7003z' - are only good for 330 ft-lbs.  [0]  g-force and a couple
of others have road racing gearsets that are supposed to be good for
600hp, but even if so they'd be useless for the quarter.

[0] it would be interesting to know how the t5 in the mustang
351 cobra is set up, and how it lasts.
