The black will probably hold up fine. I've only sanded on the red in a few places, but it seems to sand down nice and does fill pretty well. With any luck the black will work the same. I've been using it to coat the areas that are done on the convertible as I work along. I sprayed the bare metal areas with weldthru zinc primer when I moved it out for the winter. What I've looked at seems to have held up well under the cover. My Physical Therapist says we are almost ready to move on to some heavier work outs to see what I can do. He said up to now he/we have been mainly just getting my shoulder blade freed up so it moves in the correct way. now the fun begins. If We can get things working under load, maybe I can get back to work on some of this stuff! At least the weather has broken here, The American runs and drives, I'm starting to put some miles on it. I drove it in to work yesterday an dfilled it up. I hope to finally get an accurate mpg on it. I want to find one of the construction zone radar rigs and check my speedo. I calibrated it as Autometer spec'd, but I'm not sure it is quite right. The second milemarker I used was at the end of a bridge and the start of an off ramp. I wonder if they didn't fudge it's placement ot avoid placing it on the actual bridge or ramp? Speedo seems to be a little fast, but I've not had the chance to follow a known good car or foudn one of those radar rigs yet... It is nice to be able to drive it around and actually see the coolant temp, oil pressure, voltmeter instead of saying, "well, no lights are on"! I kind of wish I had not used the free MOPAR HV oil pump I used. I doubt the pressure needs to run a constant 50-60 psi. I'm not going to tear it down to pull the pump though! -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Tom Jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> > On Mon, 14 May 2007, Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > > > Once you kill the rust good, You can use eastwoods rust encapsulater on the > bare surface. > > Get the red, it's basically the same stuff as Bridge paint!
