I would like to recind my earlier comment as this radiator does not sound like such a great radiator after all.
If the lower hose is that high on the tank, How in the world can you do a complete drain on one without taking it out of the car?
  No petcock! 
I'd take it to a shop and have one put in. I've ended up covered in antifreeze more then once trying to wrestle the lower hose off a radiator that had the petcock snapped off in the fitting.
Yuck!
