As far as the Aussie inspired upgrades, I don't know of anyone who's done anything. When you order a rebuild kit for the BW you'll find that most throw a couple extra gaskets in and use it for the FMX and some Ford-O-Matic models also. The last one I bought (for an M-35) had everything but the pan gasket, bands, and clutches; which were all purchased separately. The clutches are shared with the FMX, but I don't recall on the bands. Ford shared most of the internal rotating parts with the BW, so the bands may interchange as well -- they are readily available from bigger trans supply places. The valve body for the Ford is totally different than the BW though, as is the case due to differing oil passages. --------- Date: Monday, April 23, 2007 04:01 PM From: Tom Jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> This FMX/fordomatic vs. BW parts beefy oz thing -- has anyone in the United States DONE ANY OF THIS in the last decade or so? I keep hearing about 'it should' but I've never heard 'it did'. (Excuse my skepticism it's been a long week :-) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
