Yoo guts a kickdown switchie and a vacyoom modulater thingie. Vacc mdulator is the feedback to the trans as to load. Diaphragms can leak, do the suck test, same as a distrib vacc advance unit. The kickdown switch actuates when the go-pedal is floored; the switch is stiff so you should be able to feel it under foot. Kickdown is a solenoid that essentially does what zero vacuum (high engine load) does -- indicate load to the tranny, and shift down. No throttle cable on vaccuum modulator cars. Just make sure the hose and tubing and diaphragm (ugly word, that) are intact and not leaking. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
