well, FINALLY... the 61 classic wagon my neighbor and i picked up about a month or so ago drove around the block under her own power tonight. we had to use pistons out of 1 196 and hone out the original block, and reassemble. had several problems along the way. point is tho, she finally moved on her own. no exhaust. the down pipe out of the manifold cut off just at the trans cross member and thats about it. the whole neighborhood noticed. :-D hehe. so, ya, pretty happy about that. the pushbutton trans is all good. thing acts like it is geared HIGH. i do have a couple questions however. my tsm talks about a throttle valve cable. i can not find any cable going to the trans that goes into the engine bay. just the shifter cables. second, there are 2 wires coming from the trans. when we got the car, the head had been torn apart and machined. there was a contact switch on the intake manifold with only 1 bolt. i am assuming it is some kind of kick down switch?? but how the heck does it mount? i cant figure it out. im kinda confused. there is a vacume line that goes into the intake and trans. hooked up. she moved on her own tho. thats good enough for tonight. fine tuning happens now. dave stohler http://picasaweb.google.com/das24rules __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
