250/287/327 heads are all the same as far as I know. The 250 used a solid lifter cam (and of course lifters), but that's the only difference except for the 3.5" bore. Just remember that the stock 4V carb was around 450 cfm -- not big at all. The small bores kept low speed torque and economy up, though it ran out of breath at higher rpm. A 600 cfm carb is about all you'd want for the 287 and likely the 327. To much carb and it will fall flat on it's face!
