Tom, I'll dig up and send you a copy of the article Keleigh Hardy sent me. It details using a 2V GM TBI unit without the distributor modifications. The GM unit will control timing, but will also work without controlling it. I believe you get a constant check engine light, but that's easy to fix -- no bulb! It's even better to use a GM HEI distributor though. I believe it's a simple mod to the older stand-alone type to computer controlled timing. Simply take the parts from a V-6 distro. I'm not sure that's the greatest idea because of the timing differences though. You'd need to get a chip reprogrammed for the AMC six cam and timing characteristics. Keliegh has been running his with a non-computer distro for a while now. If anyone else on the list needs/wants the article I'll send it as a PDF file as a courtesy of AMC/AIM magazine. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
