On Hornets etc the bottom edge of the liner sits in a lip
created by a "U" shaped piece that runs the length. There's Z
shaped stampings that fit into holes in the body.

I doubt I can describe the removal process, but it's not
hard. You have to pull the U piece away from the car a bit
(1/32" - 1/16"?) and lift it upwards, the Z's extract from
their holes. Downward force of the liner holds it in place and
to the car.
