Hmmm, I wonder if that explains the strange behavior of the tach in my Eagle. Ever since I installed the 4.0 and Renix, it's behaved strangely, especially at low speeds. A few weeks ago, the tach died altogether, freezing at 3000rpm. The fuel gauge was acting strangely as well, jumping around like Earls friend Catalina, so I swapped in a spare cluster I got a while back at the u pick em. The gas needle stabilized, but the tach is dead in that one too. Usually hangs straight down, occasionally wiggling in response to rpm changes. Seems I gotta pore over the diagrams and see if I can remember how I wired it... Don't use the tach feed from the 91-95 ecu to drive a Sport Comp tach! If you do you will get needle flutter below 2000 rpm. You need to use the coils neg terminal feed..... > Are we having fun yet???...... > Actually it's not too bad.
