A: The center hole and bolt pattern are the same. I have ZJ front rotors to test out on the back of my '82 Spirit. I plan to check the castings of the housing to see if it's an M20 or if D35C is cast into it (like the '87 Eagle wagon I checked long ago) The '85 XJ axle I put into my '87 Comanche (made it SOA) is definitely a D35. 4x4 guys (like at the swapmeet I was at last week) sell weld on brackets to use front calipers on the back. (ZJ rear 35s with disc brakes would make a good swap because they have Ebrakes inside the hub of the rotor) From: Wayne E LaMothe <superglider@xxxxxxxx> Subject: [Amc-list] dana axles To: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx Message-ID: <20070319.162426.2656.0.superglider@xxxxxxxx> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Does anyone know if the Dana 30 and 35 axles interchange? Both are 27 spline count on the hub (I think). Thinking about a rear disk setup for my Eagle which uses the same housing as the XJ. There is one available for the Dana 35 and I wonder if it will work on the Dana 30 axles? Are they a different diameter? Is there a chart on the net somewhere?
