I swapped a T-5 into my 70 Javelin that came with an automatic. I found the correct flywheel but still had it match balanced to the flex plate that I removed. I had to get a crank (304, 360 same crank) because the shop didn't have one, a rod and piston assembly from a 304, the replacement flywheel, and the vibration dampener off the 304 that is in the Javelin. The machine shop zeroed the crank and rod/piston assembly and then match balanced the flywheel to the flexplate. I would think it very possible to rebalance a 360 flywheel to a 304 using this method or one similar. the big thing is finding a reputable shop that know what it's doing and that the staff won't turn up their noses when you say "AMC". the shop guys I had work on my stuff said yeah bring over we'll do it for you. Very important to me. Oh, the engine runs at least as smooth if not better than before.
