Does anyone have, or can direct me to a quick source for the pilot bearing for my '69 American wagon, with 232-6, T-14 3-speed? When the clutch was rebuilt and a new throwout bearing installed, the pilot bearing the local rebuild place provided was way too big. It checked out in all of their printed references, but was not the right size. So, instead of the proper (3/4" diameter) bronze bushing, my (then) mechanic made one out of 4130 steel tubing. Now, we are having problems (mebbe related to that substitution?) and I want the proper bushing to install. As always, informed help from the "go-to" guys/gals on the list will be appreciated.
