A: I drive my J4000 on 4 wheel drums, even heavily loaded, but I'll sure be
happy to switch in the J20 axle I have for it with discs. (maybe a
Hydroboost up[grade while I'm at it if I can find a longer M715 frame to
jump up to) I may have to swap the trans and tcase before then, so I'll be
putting in a lockup 727 with Dodge NP208D (to match my RH drop front axle)

I can still remember the fear I felt with faded hot brakes in
my 62 Ambo way long time ago.

But I'm getting Joe's little American, which comes with little
toy 9" American brakes. I have a set of 64 Ambassador drum
brakes I hope will fit the wheels. They should be big enough
to not fade so much. Maybe I'll drill 'em! Always wanted to
see how well that works.
