The oil pans are the same for L-head and OHV 196 engines. That's one
part the aluminum engine shares as well. The iron versions share
everything from the camshaft down. Camshaft is different because of lobe
profile for L-head and OHV (lobes provide all the lift on a L-head, no
rocker to add to it!), but even the bearings are the same.
